Redbrook Neighbor volunteers can offer you a variety of services to assist you in your daily living. Here are some examples of what you can expect from our volunteers.

Transportation
Not being able to drive is such a limitation on a person’s well-being and engagement in the community. By offering rides, we are able to make a difference—rides to the doctor, to the hair salon, to the gym or grocery store are examples of ways we can keep you involved in your community.

Home and Garden
Some tasks around home are difficult to do by yourself, especially as you age. Help with changing lightbulbs, installing a storm window or screen, or fertilizing your shrubs in the spring are the kinds of services that help you to feel more comfortable in your own home.

Technology Assistance
If you need help with your smart phone, tablet or computer, we have volunteers comfortable with offering that kind of assistance. We can also help with setting up your remote control on your TV.

Friendly Calls or Visits
If you are alone and would like a friendly visit, we can arrange that for you.

You want to age in place in your own home, in the community you love.

Even if family and friends can help with transportation and chores, they may not always be available, or you may prefer not to call on them regularly.

Membership enables you to remain engaged in the community as we provide rides to social events, musical performances, or even to see the ocean.

You may suddenly find that you need help getting to medical appointments or even shopping, due to illness, surgery, a hospital stay, or other personal circumstances.

We offer both Individual and Household memberships for a nominal annual fee.

Individual members are eligible to receive up to 9 services per month. 
Annual fee: $200

Household members are eligible to receive up to 13 services per month.
Annual fee: $300

Exception requests to the above will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Annual membership fees help Redbrook Neighbors pay for expenses, such as liability insurance, Helpful Village software subscription, and required filing fees.
