Since its debut in 1924, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
has delighted spectators with colorful balloons, breathtaking
floats, and the finest marching bands in the country. Nancy
Franks offers a nostalgic, behind-the scenes look at the rich
history of the world’s largest parade, celebrating its 100th
anniversary this year. Discover how the character balloons are
created, learn some fun facts about how the parade is organized,
and meet some of the celebrities who have served as Grand Marshall
over the years. Then, we will preview the floats, balloons, and
bands making their debut at the 2026 parade on November 26th.
